To the Parents of Students in Grades K-12:
Last call to any student in grades K-12 who wish to purchase any of the remaining Chromebooks from our past VES fleet (there are not many units remaining, so if you are considering, then please act promptly). After tomorrow, we intend to open up the sale on Friday for those wanting more than one unit.
Still tomorrow, any student in grades K-12 is eligible to purchase one device only. The cost of either Chromebook model is $20 which includes only its charger (older carrying cases are available if you wish to have one at no cost). The sale will again be located in the media center from 7:30 AM - 3:15 PM (or until sold out). A parent/guardian either must be present upon the time of purchase of the device or must call the technology department @ 937-526-4427 to verify the purchase of the Chromebook (we want to make sure that parents/guardians are aware and have approved of the Chromebook acquisition). Again, AFTER THURSDAY, if any units remain available, then any parent/student wishing to purchase a 2nd Chromebook per child will be permitted to do so while supplies last (by parent pickup or w/ parent permission).

Good morning Tigers,
This is Superintendent Dave Harmon. Bus #7 only - is running about 10 minutes behind schedule as there was a breakdown and we had to bring a replacement bus out. Please be patient. Bus 7 students will picked up about 10 minutes behind schedule and will NOT be marked as tardy today.
Thank you.

Now available to Families of all K-12 students:
We have Chromebooks that are being replaced per the regular replacement schedule approved by the Board of Education. As such, several still fully functional Chromebooks are being made available to our students' families. These devices work just fine. They have, however, reached end of service and support from a district perspective. If you are looking for a really affordable option to have an additional device at home, please see the pictures for the specific details.

The Board of Education is announcing its upcoming Special Board of Education meeting. The meeting will take place at the Board of Education office on Monday, February 24, 2025 beginning at 5:15 pm.
The meeting will be to conduct Treasurer candidate interviews and will be conducted in Executive Session.

Good morning,
This is Superintendent Dave Harmon with an update about school today. I don’t normally call to tell you that we ARE going to school. However, due to specific circumstances today I’m making an exception to that rule. We ARE going to school after the 2-hour delay today Thursday, February, 20, 2025.
However, due to several driver illnesses, we are short drivers. Therefore the in-town route will be running approximately 20-30 minutes behind as we have to have a driver go back out after finishing their primary route. If it is at all possible, and you are able to make other arrangements to get your children to school, that would be greatly appreciated and very helpful. This is for the in town route only. Thank you for your understanding.

Good morning,
This is Superintendent Dave Harmon with an important message about travel safety and today’s school schedule. Due to the overnight weather conditions and the resulting road conditions of our secondary roads, we will start today, Thursday, February 20, 2025 on a 2-hour delay. This will allow our drivers to best see the road safely in the daylight. We will continue to drive over the next couple of hours to further evaluate safety before making a final decision about the day.
Thank you,
Be safe.
