Announcements for the week of November 18th
Attention Student Body,
The Versailles FFA is excited to once again sponsor the annual Toy Drive! The drive started yesterday and will run through December 11th. All donated toys will be distributed through the Versailles Council of Churches to local families in need. If you’d like to contribute, donation barrels are available in Ms. Bergman’s and Mrs. Wuebker’s classrooms, as well as on the stage on the cafetorium. We are accepting new toys for children ranging from newborn to 18 years old.
Additionally, Versailles FFA will be hosting the Canned Food Drive from December 16th to December 20th at both the high school and middle school. All donations will also benefit the Versailles Council of Churches. In the high school, canned goods can be dropped off in 1st period classes, while the middle school will be collecting items through the Tiger Teams.
We thank you for your support and contributions!
Attention Spanish Club: Spanish Club dancing is back and will be held in the HS gym on Friday anytime after 12:20. Spanish Club would also like to invite French Club to join us to make this an international event!
Blood Drive - There will be a blood drive in the high school gym on December 4th from 10:00 - 1:30 sponsored by the Student Council. Sign up at lunch this week! Completed forms can be turned in to the office.
Big Brothers/Big Sisters: Do you want to be a part of Big Brother's Big Sister's? Pick up an application in the HS office.
Students,
Safety is our top priority at Versailles Schools. Recently, we've observed an increase in vehicle speed through Lot D (near the Worch Memorial Library entrance) in the mornings before school. To ensure everyone’s safety, we are prohibiting all "drive-through" shortcuts in Lot D and the bus lot to access the student parking area or other lots around the school.
Students must now enter the campus through either the 185 entrance (near Cambridge Drive) or the 121 entrance (by Ace Hardware). Lot D and the bus lot are no longer available as pass-through routes to the student lot between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
You are still allowed to park in lot D, however you must use the 121 or 185 entrance to access it.
Any student found using Lot D or the bus lot to access other parking lots will lose parking privileges on campus for one week.
Thank you for helping us maintain a safe school environment.
