Girls Basketball

The 7th grade Lady Tigers were defeated by Marion Local 27-17. Scoring for Versailles, Reagan Raterman with 10 points, Elise Stammen, Kenlee Phlipot, and Mallory Wietholter each had 2 points, and Claire Bergman had 1 point. 

The 8th Grade Lady Tigers fell short to Marion Local by a score of 29-22. The Lead scorer for Versailles was Kacey Borchers with 8 points. Also scoring for the Lady Tigers with Abby Wilker and Allison Bergman both with 6 points and Taelin Partin with 2.

The 7th grade Lady Tigers defeated Coldwater on Tuesday January 14th, 42-11. Reagan Raterman was the leading scorer with 27 points. Also scoring for Versailles, Mallory Wietholter and Rose Timmerman each with 4 points, Claire Bergman with 3 points, and Elise Stammen and Anna Steinbrunner each with 2 points. 

The 8th grade Lady Tigers lost to Coldwater 44-24. The lead scorer for Versailles was Allison Bergman with 11. Also scoring for the Lady Tigers was Abby Wilker with 5, Emily Phlipot with 4, Kacey Borchers with 3, & Kyra Bergman with 1.

The 7th grade Lady Tigers lost to the Minster Wildcats 27-30. Scoring for Versailles was Reagan Raterman with 12 points, Claire Bergman with 7 points, Elise Stammen with 5 points, and Mallory Wietholter with 3 points. 

The 8th grade Lady Tigers defeated Minster in overtime 28-22. The lead scorer for the Lady Tigers was Allison Bergman with 6. Also scoring was Kacey Borchers with 5, Taelin Partin, Kyra Bergman, and Theresa Schmitmeyer with 4, Emily Phlipot with 3, and Callie Schmitmeyer with 2. Great MAC win for the 8th grade!!

The Lady Tigers lost to Russia 29-19 on Saturday January 4th. Our lead scorer was Kacey Borchers with 6 points. Also scoring for Versailles was Taelin Partin with 5 and Abby Wilker with 4, and Emily Phlipot 3 and Kyra Bergman with 1.

The 7th grade Lady Tigers defeated the Russia Raiders on Saturday January 4th, 40-19. Elise Stammen and Reagan Raterman led the scoring attack for the tigers with 14 points each. Also contributing to the scoring column was Anna Steinbrunner with 6 points, Mallory Wietholter with 4 points, and Claire Bergman with 2 points.

The Lady Tigers lost to Miami East 43-13 on Saturday December 28th. Leading Versailles was Allison Bergman with 5 points. Also scoring was Callie Schmitmeyer, Kacey Borchers, Theresa Schmitmeyer, and Kyra Bergman all with 2.


The 7th grade Lady Tigers lost to New Bremen, 18-21. Claire Bergman led the tigers with 9 points. Also scoring for Versailles was  Rose Timmerman with 4 points, Mallory Wietholter and Elise Stammen each with 2 points, & Kenlee Phlipot with 1 point. 

The 8th Lady Tigers lost to New Bremen 32-25 The lead scorer was Allison Bergman with 8 points. Also scoring for Versailles was Kacey Borchers with 5, Taelin Parton and Abby Wilker with 4, and Emily Phlipot and Theresa Schmitmeyer with 2.

The 7th grade Lady Tigers defeated Botkins 40-15. Reagan Raterman was the leading scorer with 16 points. Mallory Wietholter also added a big 12 points, followed by Elise Stammen and Claire Bergman each with 6 points. 

The 8th grade Lady Tigers lost to Botkins 18-17. The lead scorer was Abby Willer with 5. Also scoring for Versailles was Emily Phlipot & Taelin Parton with 4, Kacey Borchers with 3 & Kyra Bergman with 1.

7th grade Lady Tigers defeated Parkway in a modified 2 quarter game. The score was 13-11. Elise Stammen and Reagan Raterman each had 6 points, and Claire Bergman had 1 point. 

8th grade Lady Tigers defeated Parkway, making it a sweep for the jr. high teams. The lead scorer for the Lady Tigers was Allison Bergman with 11. Also scoring was Abby Wilker and Kacey Borchers with 6, Taelin Partin with 3, Theresa Schmitmeyer and Kyra Bergman with 2, and Emily Phlipot with 1. Great win for the 8th grade!!!

The 7th grade Lady Tigers defeated Ft. Loramie in a tight game, 31-28. Reagan Raterman led in scoring with 12 points followed by Claire Bergman with 8 points. Also scoring for Versailles was Mallory Wietholter with 6 points, Kenlee Phlipot and Anna Steinbrunner each with 2 points, and Elise Stammen with 1 point. 

The 8th grade Lady Tigers fell short to Fort Loramie byf a score of 27 to 15. Tigers lead scorer  was Kacey Borchers with 8 points. Also scoring for Versailles was Allison Bergman with 4, Emily Phlipot with 2, and Kyra Bergman with 1.

The 7th grade Lady Tigers defeated St. Henry 36-11. Elise Stammen led the tigers with 15 points. Also scoring for Versailles was Reagan Raterman with 11 points, Kenlee Phlipot and Claire Bergman each added 4 points, and Mallory Wietholter had 2 points.

The 8th grade Lady Tigers lost to St Henry by a score of 37-21. The Lady Tigers played an awesome 4th quarter. Our lead scorer was Allison Bergman with 12 points. Also scoring for the tigers was Kyra Bergman with 3; Abby Wilker, Callie Schmitmeyer, and Kacey Borchers all with 2.

The 7th grade Lady Tigers basketball team defeated Ft. Recovery on Tuesday November 26th in their first MAC matchup of the season. The Lady Tigers dominated with a score of 37-9. Leading scorer for Versailles was Reagan Raterman with 20 points followed by Mallory Wietholter with 8 points, Elise Stammen with 5 points, and Claire Bergman with 4 points. 

The 8th grade Lady Tigers lost to Ft Recovery on Tuesday November 26th with a score of 30-25. Kyra Bergman was the leading scorer with 8 points. Also scoring Versailles was Kacey Borchers and Allison Bergman both with 6, Taelin Partin and Abby Wilker both with 2, and Theresa Schmitmeyer with 1.

The 7th grade Lady Tigers defeated Tri-Village on Saturday November 23rd with a score of 29-18. Reagan Raterman was the leading scorer with 21 points. Also scoring for Versailles was Kenlee Phlipot with 3 points, Elise Stammen and Mallory Wietholter each with 2 points, and Rose Timmerman with 1 point. 

The 8th grade Lady Tigers lost to Tri-Village on Saturday November 23rd with a score of 30-14. Kyra Bergman was the leading scorer with 6 points. Also scoring for Versailles was Abby Wilker, Emily Phlipot, Allison Bergman, and Theresa Schmitmeyer all scoring 2 each.

Boys Basketball

7th grade boys basketball team lost to Marion Local 41-23. Scoring Troy Gehret 5, Cooper Phlipot 6, Parker Roll 6, Quinten Henry 1, and Jacob Meyer 5.

The 8th grade boys team beat Coldwater 45-33. The Tigers led by 12 at the half and then had a big quarter in the third going on a 11-2 run. Scoring for the tigers: Ian Hemmelgarn-11 Simon Broering-2 Drew Porter-8 Blaize Brandewie-5 Arian Drees-4 Owen Gibson-2 Nolan Shardo-2 Kade Bergman-11

On January 4th the 7th grade boys basketball team lost to Russia 50-8. Scoring Troy Gehret 2, Parker Roll 2, and Jacob Meyer 4.

On January 6th the 7th grade boys basketball team lost to minster 45-30. Scoring Eli borchers 2, Troy Gehret 3, Cooper Phlipot 5, Parker Roll 7,  Quinten Henry 9, and Jacob Meyer 4.

On January 13th the 7th grade boys basketball team lost to Coldwater 57-21 Scoring Troy Gehret 4, Cooper Phlipot 4, Quinten Henry 7, Jacob Meyer 4, and Eli Williams 2.

On 1-4-25 the Versailles 8th grade boys basketball team lost to Russia 35-46. Scoring for the tigers: Ian hemmelgarn-11 Drew Porter-6 Arian Drees-4 Nolan shardo-8 Asher Ahrens-3 Kade Bergman-3

On 1-6-25 the Versailles 8th grade boys basketball team beat Minster in a big MAC game 41-34. The Tigers started off hot, scoring 17 points and only giving up 6. The team hit 8 three pointers. Scoring for the Tigers: Ian Hemmelgarn-14 Simon Broering-12 Drew Porter-9 Arian Drees-3 Kade Bergman-3

On 12-28-24 the Versailles 8th grade boys basketball team beat Miami East 52-9. The tigers dominant the entire game only giving 2 points the first 3 quarters. Everyone did there job. Scoring for the tigers: Ian Hemmelgarn-16 Simon Broering-1 Drew Porter-10 Blaize Brandewie-11 Arian Drees-3 Nolan Shardo-3 Asher Ahrens-3 Kade Bergman-5

On 12-30-24 the Versailles 8th grade boys basketball team beat Brookville 55-10. Another dominant game from the boys. The last 2 games the tigers have out scored their opponents 107-19. Scoring for the tigers: Ian Hemmelgarn-17 Simon Broering-10 Drew Porter-6 Blaize Brandewie-2 Arian Drees-7 Nolan Shardo-9 Kade Bergman-4. The tigers are now 4-3 

On Saturday December 28th, the 7th grade boys basketball team lost to Miami East 49-18. Scoring Cooper Phlipot 2, Parker Roll 2, Quinten Henry 4, Jacob Meyer 10.

On Monday December 30th, the 7th grade boys basketball team beat Brookville 34-22. Scoring Eli Borchers 2, Troy Gehret 3, Parker Roll 6, Quinten Henry 6, Jacob Meyer 15, and Eli Williams 2.

The 7th grade boys basketball fell to New Bremen, but with a close score of 31-30. Scoring -Troy Gehret 4, Cooper Phlipot 2, Parker Roll 12, Quinten Henry 4, Jacob Meyer 8.

The 8th grade boys also fell to New Breman 21-30. Making it a sweep for NB. Scoring for the Tigers: Ian Hemmelgarn-3, Simon Broering-4, Drew Porter-11, Arian Drees-2, &  Kaden Bergman-1

On 12-12-24 the Versailles 8th grade boys basketball team lost to Arcanum 38-40. Scoring for the Tigers: Ian hemmelgarn-14, Simon Broering-4, Drew Porter-10, Blaize Brandewie-1, Arian Drees-3, Asher Ahrens-3, Owen Gibson-3 

The 7th grade boys basketball team beat Arcanum 33-27. Scoring- Eli Borchers 2, Troy Gehret 6, Cooper Phlipot 1, Easton Dirksen 2, Parker Roll 5, Quinten Henry 8, & Jacob Meyer 9.

7th grade boys basketball team beat Parkway 41-29. Scoring- Troy Gehret 3, Cooper Phlipot 2, Easton Dirksen 2, Parker Roll 2, Quinten Henry 12, Jacob Meyer 18, and Eli Williams 2.

8th grade beat Parkway in double overtime 51-46. It was a battle the entire game and the Tigers learned a lot throughout the game. They dug deep for the win. The 7th grade boys basketball team beat Anna 27-23 Scoring- Troy Gehret 10, Cooper Phlipot 2, Parker Roll 5, Quinten Henry 6, Jacob Meyer 3, Eli Williams 1.

The 8th grade boys basketball team beat Anna 46-21 Scoring for the tigers: Drew Porter-16, Ian Hemmelgarn-10, Kade Bergman-8, Asher Ahrens-6, Blaize Brandewie, Arian Drees + Owen Gibson adding 2 points each.

The 7th grade boys team lost to St Henry Monday December 2nd 50-22. Scoring-Eli Borchers 2, Troy Gehret 4, Parker Roll 2, Quinten Henry 4, Jacob Meyer 10

8th grade boys basketball team lost to St Henry  44-46. The Tigers battled hard the entire game. The game came down to the wire with St Henry scoring on a last second shot. Scoring for the Tigers: Ian Hemmelgarn-15 Simon Broering-6 Drew Porter-7 Arian Drees-7 Asher Ahrens-5 Kaden Bergman-4


Wrestling

The Versailles Junior High Wrestling team continued their show of dominance on Saturday, January 4 at the Wapak Invitational. With 17 schools competing, Versailles prevailed as champions with 349.5 team points, followed by Wapakoneta (289 points) and Allen East (228 points). "We have a strong team this year, and it's always good to see the hard work we put into practice pay off on the mats during competitions like this," said Coach Ryan Bergman. 

Scoring individually were the following wrestlers: Noah Rhoades (1st place- 82 lbs), Ben Bernholt (2nd place- 82 lbs), Kaleb Goubeaux (2nd place- 88 lbs), Charlie DeLand (2nd place- 94 lbs), Charlie Bergman (1st place- 100 lbs), Ryan Magoteaux (3rd place- 106 lbs), Ian Bergman (2nd place- 112 lbs), Wyatt Knapke (5th place- 118 lbs), Wyatt Mendenhall (5th place- 124 lbs), Colton Patton (5th place- 130 lbs), Sam Stammen (3rd place- 136 lbs), Russell Winner (3rd place- 152 lbs), Sam Schmitmeyer (1st place- 162 lbs), Zavier Bergman (5th place- 174 lbs), and Ben Kaiser (1st place- 207 lbs).  The junior high team will join the high school team and wrestle against Miami East at Versailles on Tuesday, January 7th in a dual meet.  

The Versailles Junior High Wrestling team continued their winning streak with a first place finish at the Coldwater Invitational on Friday, December 27th. Out of 31 teams, Versailles won with with 259.5 team points, followed by Troy with 232.5 points and Tipp City with 222 points. The following wrestlers placed individually for Versailles: Noah Rhoades (1st- 80 lbs), Ben Bernholt (2nd- 80 lbs), Kaleb Goubeaux (2nd- 86 lbs), Charlie DeLand (5th- 92 lbs), Charlie Bergman (2nd- 98 lbs), Ryan Magoteaux (5th- 104 lbs), Ian Bergman (1st- 110 lbs), Wyatt Mendenhall (4th- 122 lbs), Sam Stammen (3rd- 134 lbs), Sam Schmitmeyer (3rd- 160 lbs), and Ben Kaiser (1st- 205 lbs). The JH wrestlers travel to the Wapakoneta Invitational on January 4th before hosting Miami East with the high school team on Tuesday, January 7th. 

The Versailles Junior High wrestlers traveled to Vandalia Butler for a quad meet with Beavercreek and Sidney JH. The Tigers were victorious on the day, winning 54-22 over Beavercreek, 69-23 over Sidney and 81-4 over Vandalia Butler. Wrestlers that went undefeated on the day include: Noah Rhoades (80 lbs), Ben Bernholt (80 lbs), Kaleb Goubeaux (86 lbs), Charlie Bergman (98 lbs), Ian Bergman (110 lbs), Colton Patten (128 lbs), Sam Stammen (134 lbs), Sam Schmitmeyer (160 lbs), and Ben Kaiser (205 lbs). The next scheduled meet is the Coldwater Invitational on December 27th.

The JH wrestlers traveled to West Milton to compete in the 50th annual Junior Bulldog double elimination Invitational.  The Tigers won the tight team race by scoring 221.5 pts.  Troy finished in 2nd place with 216.5 points.  Placing individually for the Tigers were: 1st place - Noah Rhoades, Ian Bergman, Sam Stammen, Sam Schmitmeyer,  & Ben Kaiser. 3rd Place - Kaleb Goubeaux, Ryan Magoteaux, & Gavin Riffell; 4th Place - Charlie Deland.
