The Versailles FFA and FFA Alumni are excited to announce a brand-new activity taking place for 2024 that we believe will have a great impact on our members and our community.
On Saturday, September 14th, 2024, Versailles FFA and FFA Alumni will be hosting the first-ever Home Harvest Dinner, A Farm to Fork event, at the North Star Community Center at 124 E Star Rd North Star, Ohio 45362.
The goal of this event is to promote production agriculture in the Versailles and surrounding communities in addition to highlighting specific experiences and products our FFA members are partaking in and making. From beef and poultry to goat milk and produce, or even with pumpkins and honey, the event will be sure to feature several FFA member’s unique products, talents, and capabilities.
The Farm to Fork event will include a meal, entertainment, and presentations from local Versailles FFA members and community members sharing their knowledge about the local products they produce.
The program will start at 6:00 pm with appetizers featuring local meats, cheeses, apples, and apple cider. During the appetizers, you will have the opportunity to visit displays of Versailles FFA members and businesses that will be supplying products as well as be entertained by Versailles FFA Sentinel Greta Broering who will be sharing her musical talents singing.
Following will be the meal starting at 6:30 pm. In regards to the meal, you will have 2 choices, however, when your ticket is purchased, we ask for you to know your meal choice. All the meals will come with Farmers Basket Salad, Apple and Pumpkin Bisque, Naked Cake with fruit, and goat milk ice cream. The main entrees will include a choice of a 12 oz Ribeye or Hawaiian Huli Huli Chicken along with a Chef’s Choice of Vegetables.
Versailles FFA and FFA Alumni will be teaming up with Chris Campbell, the Executive Chef at Merchant House for this event. After the meal, the program will feature short presentations from members’ SAE’s and local community members who will be sharing about the products they produce.
Versailles FFA and FFA Alumni will be partnering with Butcher Block-Blake & Lucy Schmitmeyer, Paige’s Patch-Pagie Gehret, Barga Goat Farm-Eden and Liam Barga, Downing Fruit, and Vegetable Farm-Scott Downing, Down Home Farms-Maggie & Patrick McGlinch, Grogean’s Honey-Lauren Grogean, Smith’s Honey-Hank Smith, Polluniator Patch-Janelle Weiss and eggs from variety member’s SAE’s.
The meal will be limited to the first 100 guests and tickets can be purchased through:

Cash or checks payable to Versailles FFA Alumni will be accepted. The cost of the ticket is $30.00 per person and the main entree needs to be selected at the time of ticket sales. This will also be used as a fundraiser event for the FFA Alumni to help present scholarships and help fund Versailles FFA members trips to State and National FFA Convention.
